Thank you for your interest in our websites. The protection of your personal data matters to us. Below we explain which data is collected when you use our websites, for what purposes, and what rights you have.

2. Hosting

Our websites are hosted on the Lovable platform. The provider is Lovable Labs Sweden AB, Regeringsgatan 25, 111 53 Stockholm, Sweden. Depending on the contractual relationship, Lovable Labs Incorporated, 1111b South Governors Avenue, Dover, DE 19904, USA, may also act as contracting party or data importer. When you access the websites, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data on our behalf, in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, the page accessed, the volume of data transferred, and browser and operating system information (server log files). We have configured the data processing for a server location within the EU. Processing takes place to ensure trouble-free operation on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider, including standard contractual clauses for transfers to third countries. Log data is stored only for as long as is necessary for operation, security and error analysis.

3. Contacting us by email

If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, content of your message) solely in order to handle your enquiry. Processing takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). We delete your data once your enquiry has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention obligations apply.

4. Registration for the competition

To register for the Butcher Worx competition we process the necessary details (in particular name, contact details, age, category and the documentation required under the terms of participation). Processing takes place in order to perform the participation contract on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. For participants under 18 years of age, processing takes place on the basis of the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Health certificates are used solely to verify eligibility to participate and are deleted after the event, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

The entry fee is paid via the payment service provider PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg). The data required to process the payment is transmitted to PayPal. PayPal's privacy notices apply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

5. Photo and video recordings

Photo and video recordings are made during the event and published on our
websites and on social media for reporting and promotional purposes.

Processing takes place on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a)

GDPR, which you give separately during registration. You may withdraw your

consent at any time with effect for the future by emailing

butcherwars@gmail.com. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the

withdrawal remains unaffected.

6. Cookies, audience measurement and advertising tracking

When you visit our websites we use cookies and similar technologies, some of which require consent. We obtain that consent through our consent banner. You can change your choices at any time via the cookie settings.

6.1 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics processes information about your use of the websites (e.g. page views, time on page, approximate location) and sets cookies. IP addresses are truncated by Google. Transfer to the USA is possible; Google relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses for this. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. You can refuse collection by Google Analytics via the consent banner, or use the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics.

6.2 Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland. The pixel allows us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to build advertising audiences. Cookies may be set and information about your use may be transmitted to Meta; transfer to the USA is possible. Meta is responsible for the processing of data collected via the pixel under joint controllership with us, insofar as the processing is carried out by Meta. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Further information can be found in Meta's privacy policy.

7. Embedded social media content

Third-party content is embedded on our websites, in particular Instagram and YouTube content. When this content is loaded, a connection to the respective provider's servers may be established and your IP address transmitted. The content is only embedded after you have agreed by clicking (known as the two-click solution). The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The privacy notices of the respective providers apply:

8. Recipients and transfers to third countries

We use service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g. hosting, payment services). Beyond that, data is only passed on to third parties where this is required by law or where you have consented. Where service providers process data outside the EU, this only takes place where an adequacy decision of the EU Commission exists, on the basis of appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses), or on the basis of your consent.

9. Retention period

We store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purposes or as required by statutory retention obligations. Cookie data is deleted in accordance with the lifetimes stated in the consent banner.
